We booked a wine tour as a a last minute... activity. As the other reviews have clearly touched upon, Stefano is extremely knowledgeable about the wine in this region, and it was a fantastic learning experience. It was so much better going to all the smaller vineyards, and that alone is worth it over booking a more commercialized tour. We also enjoyed a meal with his wonderful family, and a couple other travelers. Would highly recommend booking with Stefano, and his wife Manuela (who made lunch!).read more

Stefano is clearly very passionate and very... knowledgeable about Piedmont wine. He has good relationships with the owners of wineries, and exceptional taste. My husband and I have learned so much and developed a great fondness for the region and it’s wines. If you can book Stefano, don’t think twice!read more

Do yourself the favor and book this tour. Also:... Do it during one of your first days in the region. Stefano had so many great recommendations and information about restaurants, wines, places to visit etc. that really helped us to appreciate the region much more. The tour was very personal, with a great selection of vineyards and an excellent lunch place (best food during our stay). Highly recommend!read more

We were delighted to have Stefano as out guide... for the day during our visit to the Barolo region of Piemonte in August, 2019. He was knowledgably, courteous and friendly and ensured that our visit conformed exactly to our wishes. Excellent tour - Stefano was extremely welcoming... and friendly whilst showing vast local knowledge of the region. We also had two children, an infant and a 3 year old, in tow and he was more than obliging to accommodate them on the tour which was great as we wouldn’t have been able to do it otherwise.The tour itself was also very personal, with Stefano adapting to our interests and the flow of the day.We would highly recommend booking with Barolo Wine tours if you really want to get to know the region.read more
